Lesson 1-Chris

I really liked the section about deconstruction and reconstruction of our faith. It's a key part of being ready to study theology but a sometimes difficult one. I feel I'm at a place where this really fits. I'm excited to discover some things for myself instead of others explaining them to me.

That's what interests me about this course, too. I had a Jehovah's Witness stop at the house the other day. I was leery about talking to him because they have a history of being manipulative, but I couldn't get out of it. So instead of arguing with him, I told him that I didn't know enough about his beliefs to be able to have a discussion & that I owed it to myself to at least understand more about them. So after he left I immediately did a quick study on what they believe & how it contradicts the Bible.

I'm not an expert at this point, but at least I'm more well-rounded for the next time. Then it'll be onto mormonism, etc.
